Mary Grace just celebrated her 13th birthday. It's a birthday that she has looked forward to since her 12th birthday! Thirteen meant a party and more importantly, a Facebook page. (I realize that many kids under 13 have Facebook pages, but we believe that teaching our kids to be honest is more important than keep up with what others are doing!)
The celebration began a few days early with mini golf, water wars, dinner out, and Starbucks for Mary Grace and three of her friends.
The birthday began bright and early before swim practice with gifts to be opened. Mary Grace's "big" gift was a waterproof digital camera. She also got the "sweet 13" charm for her charm bracelet, camera accessories, earrings and an anklet.
The afternoon was spent at the pool trying out the new camera.
The dinner of choice was IHOP for pancakes. Our friends the Vega's went with us, and the kids had a blast. We finished the night off with a birthday cheesecake.
We've been blessed with 13 sweet years and look forward to seeing Mary Grace grow more beautiful each day!
